Christie Ward holds a Master's degree in English/Creative Writing from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she was awarded the Mahan Prize for Short Fiction and served as an editor for the Missouri Review. She holds a second Master's degree in e-Media from Quinnipiac University, where she developed specialized skills in writing for interactive media. She also holds a third Master's degree in TESOL from Fairfield University, and worked as the director of an English language program for 18 years.
She has more than 25 years of experience teaching Composition and Rhetoric to both native English speakers and English language learners, and has presented numerous workshops on the art of writing.
Prior to beginning her career in higher education teaching and leadership, she did freelance work for both Gale and Rosen Publishing.
She is an avid traveler, and hosts a travel blog called "Dear Mrs. Lady," which consists of letters written during her travels to her angry cat at home.
